The topic I made is a short self-introduction and the game console. The reason I choose to make game console is I like the video game and I hope to share the joy with the audients. I think Nintendo Switch is a successful game console because I think It brings people different ways to play games. With it, you can easily share the joy with people around you. Although it doesn’t have the super-powerful function like PS4 Pro or XBOX ONE X, it still can be a success whether on the Sales and reputation.
In this video, the main thing I want to introduce is the 3 different modes on Switch. At the start, I put a short zoom out on my Switch and PS4 with music to be the start. I think it can bring out an idea that what am I going to talk about. The second part is I showed up and do the self-introduction. In this part the angle I used is eye-level shot, it can make the connection between me and the audiences. And the background here is my apartment. When I introduced to the video game, I put a b-roll on it. It shows I am playing the video game. And after that, I introduced the top 3 game console company. I write the name on a white paper and show to audiences. After this part, I introduced Nintendo Switch. I also put a b-roll on it when I am talking. I used to pan left to right to show the game console. I think it is good to put the Nintendo Webpage in the video to give the audience’s ideas what Nintendo is, and I add a close shoot of the Super Mario game. After that, I talked about the 3 different on Nintendo Switch. I use three different B-roll to show the modes. For the audio in my video. I used a piece of music my friend made to be the start. It is short and is good for the beginning. The rest audio is recorded by my camera.
The biggest challenges for me is to talk to the camera. I don’t use to talk to the camera, it makes me feel very uncomfortable and nervous, but after 10-20 times try. I made it. The lesson I learned from is to act nature so the video won’t be boring. If you are too nervous it will show on your face. I think I still need lots of practice. Another thing is to shoot the B-roll. When I shoot the b-roll I always think the angle is good the light is good, but when I put that in the iMovie I find it is not good enough. So I tried lots of time on the b-roll. I tried to used different angles and different lighting. I think I need to buy a tripod and stabilizer for the next assignment. Because the hand shooting is not stable. And I will try to practice to talk to the camera.
